Each page measures 148mm x 210mm, half the size of A4, giving a compact format that's easy to hold and read one-handed.
The compact page size and flat spine suit poetry collections, novellas, wedding stationery booklets and event programmes where readers are likely to flick through cover to cover rather than dip in and out for reference. It gives a book-like feel without the bulk of a full A4 publication.

For anything designed to be read start to finish, like a novella or a collection, that book-like structure and page-turning feel tends to suit the format better than a saddle-stitched booklet, particularly once the page count climbs past what stapling comfortably allows.
A5 perfect-bound books run from 40 to 400 pages, making them suitable for shorter booklets or novel-length books for self-publishing.
A5 gives more room per page for text and imagery while still feeling compact and easy to handle, making it a natural middle ground between a full A4 book and the smaller A6 format. A6 suits projects that need to be pocket-sized above all else, such as small guides or take-away booklets; think "little book of" style books- so it's worth comparing the two if page size is still undecided.

To create a Perfect Bound booklet, the pages and cover are glued together at the spine with a strong, flexible thermal glue then the remaining sides are trimmed to give clean ‘perfect’ edges. Our PUR bound brochures are up to 60% stronger due to the use of a PUR adhesive, making them ideal for use with heavy paper stocks and larger page numbers - these booklets are built to last!
We aim to produce order quantities of 500 and below using our state of the art digital facilities, while larger quantities are produced using our modern litho presses.
