Printing on Foamex for Elections

When supplying artwork for a profile cut board please follow the below steps:

Custom shape boards - If you require cutting to a custom shape and drill holes, please supply as:

• Top Layer – Named "Cut contour" (Case Sensitive) - 100% Magenta spot colour named "Cut contour" (Case Sensitive) with a 0.25pt line weight and set to Overprint.

• Bottom Layer – artwork for print.

For a double-side print please supply as:

• Top Layer – Named "Cut contour" (Case Sensitive) - 100% Magenta spot colour named "Cut contour" (Case Sensitive) with a 0.25pt line weight and set to Overprint.

• Bottom Layer – Artwork for print.

We would also not advise using an overly complex cut line. (Shapes that are too complex may be rejected at prepress stage). We recommend that cutting lines have curves rather go in to a point.

Drill Hole Guidelines

• Drill holes are 5mm wide.

• If all sides of the part are 400mm or more, drill holes will be placed 30mm from the edges.

• If any side is less than 400mm, drill holes will be placed 15mm from the edges.

• Make sure to keep important design elements away from these drilling areas.

Please supply as an Illustrator PDF as when saving from InDesign the layers do not save as required.
