Can I reuse my printed banners?

Yes, and that is to be encouraged.  Keep your branding consistent and evergreen for a multi-use banner. In many cases, banners can be reused for different events or purposes. Retractable banners, for example, allow for easy setup and takedown, making them convenient for multiple uses. Proper storage and care can help prolong the lifespan of your banners.

The best way to make your banner more sustainable is by designing it with evergreen artwork, that means keeping the design flexible and avoiding any details that might quickly go out of date, like specific dates, prices, or one-off messaging.

What is the difference between Airmesh and PVC Mesh banners?

Airmesh and PVC Mesh banners are both designed for outdoor use and feature a perforated structure that allows wind to pass through. However, they differ in material, weight, finish and ideal applications.

Airmesh banners are made from 100% polyester and are exceptionally lightweight at just 105gsm. This significantly reduces the overall banner weight, making them easier to handle, install and transport—especially for large or multi-panel displays. For example, a large fencing banner produced in Airmesh can weigh less than half of a PVC equivalent. Unlike traditional PVC mesh, Airmesh can be folded rather than rolled, allowing for more flexible and cost-effective shipping and storage. Despite its low weight, Airmesh remains highly durable, with excellent airflow, strong machine-sewn triple-folded hems and rust-free plastic eyelets spaced at approximately 1-metre intervals. Its textile construction offers excellent show-through, vibrant dye-sublimation printing and good resistance to scuffing, making it ideal for breezy or exposed locations and for customers seeking a non-PVC material option.

PVC Mesh banners, by contrast, are manufactured from 260gsm PVC, making them heavier and more rigid overall. This added weight contributes to their strength and long-term durability, but also means they are heavier to handle and install, particularly at larger sizes. PVC mesh banners are typically rolled to maintain a smooth finish and are fitted with reinforced hems and 25mm metal eyelets (12mm internal) for secure installation. They are UV resistant, weatherproof and designed to withstand strong winds, rain and prolonged sun exposure, with a lifespan of up to two years, depending on conditions.

In summary, Airmesh is a lightweight, foldable polyester option with excellent airflow and reduced overall banner weight, making it ideal for large installations and customers seeking alternative materials. PVC mesh banners are heavier and more rigid, offering maximum durability and long-term outdoor performance.
