It has the look and strength of a metal sign, weighs less than solid aluminium and won't rust. Worth noting that the base colour of these signs is not silver aluminium; it is white.

Work out how far away people will be when they read it. A common rule of thumb in the sign trade is that every 25mm of letter height can be read from about 3 metres. An A4 sign works for a door or reception desk, while a sign facing a road usually needs A1 or larger.

Keep all text at 18pt or larger, including phone numbers and web addresses. Thin lines should be at least 2pt thick. Anything smaller may not print crisply or, arguably worse, people won't be able to read it.

Yes. Dibond is made for permanent outdoor signs and stands up to British weather, so it suits house names, shop signs and gate signs. How long a sign looks its best depends on where it goes, with signs in full sun all day showing wear first.

Yes. Alongside the standard A4 to A0 sizes, you can type in your own measurements, starting from 100 x 100mm. That covers door plaques, house numbers and long, narrow signs for gateposts. You can go bigger as well, from 1200mm x 2400mm

Choose your holes when you order, and we'll drill them for you. Pick the top corners to hang a sign from hooks or chains, or all four corners to screw it flat to a wall, fence or post. If you'd prefer strong adhesive pads or a frame, choose no drilling. You don't need to mark holes on your design.
