Blueback is a poster paper with a blue-tinted reverse that blocks light. When you paste it over an older poster, the one underneath won't show through. It also stops light from behind from washing out your colours, which is why billboard and hoarding posters are printed on it.
Bigger than you think. People read outdoor posters from across a street or from a moving car. Use 18pt as your minimum font size and keep lines at 2pt or thicker. Keep everything important at least 10mm inside the trim, and allow more room if the poster is going into a frame.
If your sign needs to stand up on its own, or hang on a fence or railings for weeks, a poster won't do it. For a stake in the ground or a sign cable-tied to a fence, go for Correx Boards. For a sign on railings or scaffolding, a PVC Banner with eyelets or a Heras Banner may be better. And if it's going in a shop window or on an indoor wall, Indoor Posters will cost you less.
Yes. If a standard A-size doesn't fit your board or frame, enter your own measurements when you order. Measure the visible area of your frame first, then add 3mm bleed on all sides.
It depends on the material you choose. Blueback is a paper made for pasting onto boards and hoardings, so it suits short campaigns. If your poster needs to stay up through wet weather for longer, choose PVC or PVC-free, as these are more like banners without any eyelets.
Choose Blueback if you're pasting onto a hoarding or board for a short run, such as a gig, a club night or a sale weekend.
Choose PVC for posters that need to handle rain over a longer period. PVC-free does the same job as PVC but without the PVC, making it a more sustainable choice.

Upload a CMYK PDF at 150dpi, with 3mm bleed on all sides and your fonts outlined or embedded. Our 150dpi requirement is lower than for small print, because people view posters from further away. Templates are available in AI, PDF and InDesign, and there are Canva templates for A4 to A0. Every order gets a free artwork check.
