Gate Folded Leaflet Printing

Gate-folded leaflets offer a generous amount of space for content. With six panels available (two outer panels and a large central spread), businesses can organise information effectively. The outer panels can provide introductory content or teasers, while the central spread can deliver the main message or detailed information. This makes gate-folded leaflets suitable for a variety of applications, such as product brochures, event programs, or corporate presentations.

Gate-folded leaflets are versatile and can be used for a wide range of marketing purposes. They are ideal for high-end product brochures, fashion lookbooks, real estate listings, menus, and invitations. The unique fold makes them suitable for any marketing campaign that aims to stand out and create a memorable experience for the recipient.

Gate-folded leaflets are perfect for emphasising key messages or calls to action. The central spread provides a prominent space for important information, such as a special offer, a new product launch, or a major announcement. The outer panels can be used to build anticipation and direct the reader’s focus to the main message once the leaflet is fully opened.

All folded leaflets printed on 130gsm and 170gsm sized A4 to A6, or A7 on paper less than 300gsm, are tax-exempt.

How To Design Unlaminated Folded Leaflets

  • Artwork templates are available for download to assist with setting up your files. These include the panel widths required, too.
  • Before submitting folded leaflet artwork, we recommend you print a mock up to check the artwork is positioned correctly.
  • When creating any leaflet, please supply your artwork as a 2 page, double sided PDF. For example, on an A4 folded to A5, page 1 should display pages 4 & 1 of the leaflet and page 2 should display pages 2 & 3, as shown in this illustration. 
  • When creating artwork with a landscape fold, please submit the front and back pages on the same page, with the front page orientation correct and the back page rotated 180°. The inside pages should be on page 2 and rotated 180° so that the orientation is correct on the final print. You can check the orientation is correct by printing a mock up before submitting your artwork.
  • Please note for artwork that includes coloured backgrounds, or coloured elements which overlap the fold lines, we would recommend ordering our laminated leaflets to protect the ink and paper from cracking and provide a smooth fold.
