Stanley Stella FAQs

How should I wash my Stanley Stella products?

Washing instructions are provided on the label of each product. Most items should be washed at 30°C and line-dried (i.e. not tumble-dried). By following these care instructions, you not only help protect the environment but also ensure the longest possible lifespan for the products.

Where are the Stanley Stella products produced?

Stanley Stella products are mainly produced in Bangladesh. The company focuses on using sustainable materials and emphasizes fair working conditions and environmental responsibility throughout its supply chain.

What print process is used?

Our range uses direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, delivering high-quality, full-colour designs with intricate details and vibrant shades. Ideal for graphics, photos, and designs with gradients, it produces sharp, long-lasting prints. The advanced technology ensures your designs maintain their vibrancy and clarity, even after multiple washes.

How can I supply artwork?

We provide a variety of options for submitting your artwork. You can design your artwork in accordance with our technical specifications and upload it during the checkout process. Alternatively, if you prefer, our expert design team can assist in crafting a unique and impactful design for your clothing. For those who wish to create their own design, our intuitive online designer tool is also available for use.

Which materials does Stanley/Stella use for its collection?

Stanley / Stella garments are either made from:

  • 100% organic cotton (e.g. our t-shirts and polo shirts)
  • a combination of organic cotton and recycled polyester (e.g. our sweatshirts)

What is organic cotton, and how is it different to conventional cotton?

Organic cotton is grown according to organic farming criteria set by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). Under these criteria, organic agriculture should avoid the use of harmful pesticides, fertilisers and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in order to respect the soil and those who live from it. Conventional agriculture is not regulated in this way.

What are the benefits of organic cotton?

Organic cotton offers a more sustainable approach to cotton cultivation by relying on natural, traditional farming practices instead of the chemical-intensive methods used in conventional cotton farming. This approach reduces energy consumption, eliminates harmful chemicals, and produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, organic farming enhances soil quality, allowing for a significant reduction in water use. The benefits to water resources, soil health, and biodiversity contribute to protecting the well-being and livelihoods of farmers and their communities.

What kind of dyes are used in Stanley/Stella products?

Aligned with our primary certifications, including Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX and GOTS, any chemicals we use are safe for both human health and the environment. In certain stages of production, we may incorporate specific non-toxic chemicals to achieve the desired product performance or aesthetic. With sustainability as our core focus, we are also exploring natural dyes derived from plants, food waste, minerals, and more to further reduce our chemical footprint. However, natural dyes come with added costs and unique challenges that we are working to address.
