About the Role:

This role combines costing, product pricing, and production cost management to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing across Tradeprint’s product portfolio & manufacturing tools. The position supports Product, Production, and Finance teams by maintaining reliable cost data, updating system pricing, and analysing margin performance across both our in-house plant and third-party fulfilment partners (3PFs). This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and profitability while contributing to the development of cost-modelling frameworks that reflect real manufacturing processes.

This is an excellent development role for an analytically minded individual who enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams. Suited to someone who wants to grow their career in a fast-paced e-commerce and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Pricing and Costing

  • Maintain and update product cost and pricing data for in-house products.
  • Review product costs, sell prices, and margin performance regularly, providing commentary on areas of improvement for both in-house and third-party-fulfilled products.
  • Support the implementation of pricing updates in internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and version control.
  • Lead the creation and redevelopment of cost-modelling frameworks that enhance cost visibility, strengthen pricing strategies, and improve operational efficiency across in-house and third-party fulfilment networks.
  • Partner with Production to ensure product costs reflect current manufacturing processes, material usage, and labour assumptions.

Data and Analysis

  • Support margin analysis by product, category, and fulfiller, highlighting risks or opportunities to provide actionable insights to the Category Manager
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports (using Excel or BI tools such as Looker) to monitor key KPIs including margin and cost targets.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and scenario modelling for pricing and cost optimisation from Production and Finance teams.
  • Assist the Category Manager in analysing market and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies and ensure competitiveness in the e-commerce market.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Production, and Finance teams to ensure alignment between operational costs and commercial pricing
  • Partner with Procurement and Production to analyse production efficiency, scrap rates, run speeds, and labour utilisation to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in benchmarking Tradeprint’s costs and prices against wider market pricing
  • Contribute to cost efficiency and profitability projects across the organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

You will bring:

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and data interpretation skills
  • Advanced Excel capability, including pivoting data and creating complex formulas.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Curiosity about how manufacturing, costing, and products work together.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to develop cost-modelling frameworks aligned with manufacturing processes

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, e-commerce, or product-focused environment.
  • A basic understanding of manufacturing cost structures (materials, labour, overheads).
