Job Purpose

As a Product Systems Administrator, you will be the super user of our backend proprietary software responsible for building and editing configurations of products, shipping rules, routing rules, pricing, and costing.  You will set up and configure new fulfillers in our systems, double checking configuration and testing for accuracy where appropriate.

As a great problem solver, you will use the tool to produce the desired results in the most efficient manner, ensuring that the backend system feeds the correct data into our production IMS or website CMS or other upstream systems.

You will contribute to the technology roadmap using your experience and knowledge of using the systems and looking for ways to make your job faster and easier.

You will build excellent relationships with stakeholders and develop a thorough understanding of their needs to ensure delivery is in line with their expectations

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Be the superuser of our backend product information management system
  • Configure and build new products
  • Edit and configure costing models
  • Edit and configure selling price models
  • Alter routing rules to smooth out peaks of demand across our fulfillment network
  • Configure and build shipping rates and zonal restrictions and shipping strategies
  • Configure and maintain Tax rules of products
The ideal candidate will bring experience to the role and will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a diligent approach to checking your work
  • A knack for problem solving and process thinking
  • Experience in a similar role for example product, logistics or supply chain administration
  • Experience using a Product Information Management System or other backend website system or ERP
  • The ability to learn or develop a strong knowledge of printed products
  • Great communication and team-building skills

It would be great if they brought:

  • An understanding of product configuration
  • Print experience and/or knowledge of printed products

The role can be based in our offices in Dundee on a full-time or hybrid basis.

Salary will depend on experience, but we expect to pay circa £21,000-£25,000
