Job Purpose

As Product Data Analyst, you will put data at the heart of everything we do! eliminates the risk of using bad or outdated data to make decisions. With access to limitless data insights, you will enable a more proactive and less reactive approach to product and fulfillers and eliminate the risk of using bad or outdated data to make decisions.

By leveraging the flow of data, you will be responsible for analysing, evaluating and presenting data to the category manager, providing insights to make strategic decisions.

You will take charge of building, collating and analysing multiple data points to guide all stakeholders to maximise the full revenue and profitability potential from all products and their fulfillers, both new and existing.

You will build excellent relationships with stakeholders and develop a thorough understanding of their needs to ensure delivery is in line with their expectations.

This opportunity would suit a recent graduate or someone with some work experience in a similar role who is keen to take the next step and develop their skills.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Generate frequent competitor analysis for product pricing, positioning and trends
  • Maintain and update costing and pricing models
  • Maintain and update gross margin reports at category and fulfiller level
  • Maintain and update product performance dashboards, spotting trends and provide insights
  • Maintain and update fulfiller performance dashboards, spotting trends and provide insights
  • Model scenarios to support the optimisation of our fulfillment network, which could include providing commentary and recommendations on whether to make or buy products
  • Generate and maintain production dashboards and KPI’s
  • Support project sponsors to calculate cost-benefit for projects and initiatives
  • Create and maintain reports to measure key metrics within business
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject or some work experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Ability to manage conflict and change effectively
  • Good analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to develop a solid understanding of our business and industry
  • The tenacity to ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor interactions to suit different stakeholder groups
  • A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Proficiency in using MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel, experience of using BI software would be a big plus but isn’t essential (we use Looker)

The role can be based in our offices in Dundee on a full-time or hybrid basis.

Salary will depend on experience, but we expect to pay circa £23,000-30,000.
